Description
Beirut Arab University is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable professional to join our Library department as a Librarian – E-Resources. To manage and maintain the library’s electronic resources and systems, ensure they work smoothly, provide support and training to staff, and coordinate with vendors to fix problems and improve the systems.
Education:
- Bachelors’ degree in library sciences
- Masters’ degree is a plus
Work Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in library operation or similar administrative work

Main duties:
- Train staff on changes in library procedures related to electronic resources.
- Manage staff user accounts and maintain documentation on all library parameters.
- Arrange and follow up on all general training on the library information system.
- Follow up and check the library catalogue (OPAC) announcements and bibliographic records (New arrivals).
- Maintain statistics and generate reports for units.
- Keep records of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken to solve problems.
- Represent the library in meetings and professional events related to e-resources.
- Follow up the maintenance renewal for the library systems with the service providers.
- Make sure that all links are working on the online library catalogue.
- Perform liaison duties to promote services and resources to faculties.
- Must be knowledgeable in drafting and managing agreements between the Beirut Arab University and the provider.
