Description
Beirut Arab University is seeking a detail-oriented Specialist in the Registration department to support and manage the university’s student registration processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and administering registered student records, assisting students and faculties, and ensuring smooth and accurate course registration in line with university policies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Arabic; ability to draft professional correspondence and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Work Experience:
- 4 years of experience in registration, student services, or administrative roles is an advantage.
Skills and knowledge:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling records.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with student information systems/databases.
Main duties:
- Perform student registration processes including registration, filing, and organizing.
- Provide assistance and support in all tasks related to student records and registration.
- Respond effectively to queries from faculty, staff, and students.
- Process registration changes related to student accounts, financial aid, and academic programs.
- Create and update course sections in the student information system, including entry of class schedules and seat limitations.
- Monitor and follow up on students’ tuition fee payments.
- Execute the registration process, manage class capacities, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Handle internal and external student transfer requests.
- Process grade changes, attendance, leaves of absence, and academic warnings submitted by faculties.
- Track add/drop periods, course withdrawals, and grades.
- Coordinate with faculties on core and elective university requirement courses and post schedules online.
- Respond to student queries via email, phone, or in person, providing accurate guidance on course selection and registration procedures.
